Well, it is April 1st! It is a big day for many of you. Most colleges have promised to post admissions decisions (and accompanying financial aid packages) by the end of the day. For others, it may be a few more days. As students are applying to more and more schools, they are also getting accepted at more and more schools! There is a high school senior in Georgia who was just accepted at 49 colleges. More reasonably, earlier today I advised two mothers of students one who has 8 acceptances and the other with 7 acceptances on the table with a few more possibly on the way.

Under any circumstances, congratulations to all of you on all of your successes!

Now, I have one important plea: do not accept anything today! You have your admissions and financial aid offers in hand? Great! And, your parents say they can find a way to afford that? Fantastic! Now... breathe. Take it easy. You some time. No college will pull your offer until the due date (likely, May 1st). So, take a moment to celebrate and enjoy where you are at and what you have accomplished. Take one more virtual tour of the places that you are considering. Talk to your friends and family. Enjoy the moment!

Then, contact us at yourcounteroffer.com and let us chat with you about how to negotiate with your school of choice to keep more money in you and your parents bank accounts!

If you have been accepted at 2 or more colleges and you have been offered any aid, there is a very good chance that I can get you more. Not loans. Not work-study. I am talking about more grant/scholarship money from the school to you.
